This is a great story to read. Anita de la Torre who lived in the Dominican Republic began to question her freedom. At first, Tio Toni had disappeared and the SIM began to terrorize them asking where he may be. Their dictator was in desperate need of finding him. Anita had to crack codes that her family was keeping and soon found out what she knew wasn't something she should have known. As the months go by, her family members go one by one to the United States. Majority of her family are living in New York waiting for the rest of Anita's family to come.
During the story Anita becomes a young lady. She struggles through many things and uses her family's courage and the strength to make it through tough times in the Dominican Republic.

The Fallen Man by Tony Hillerman

A mysterious/investigative story that will make your mind think. Jim Chee is a Navajo Policemen who is investigating a mysterious accident...or murder; the fallen man was on top of Ship Rock mountain and somehow his body is at the bottom. Its very curious on how the man got up on top alone, he had to have had some help, leading Chee to investigate if it actually was an accident or not.
I personally like to read a mystery or investigative story, I'd recommend to those who love to has imagination, patience and someone who likes to solve a mystery.

A Walk to Remember

A sweet story of true love and having faith in other people. A Walk to Remember is the story of a boy named Landon and the unexpecting love that he finds in a small town, where everybody knows everybody. Landon is a rebel and is class president of his high school. He usually hangs out with the popular crowd, but when choosing between a cooking class and drama he decides to take drama. If you take this class then it means that you have to participate in the annual christmas play, which according to him is completely lame. What he doesn't know is that the play that he doesn't even want to do, is the same play that will make him fall in love with the pastor's daughter, an unpopular, shy girl. Nicholas Sparks takes you in many turns as you read about the growing love of two unexpecting people. I really liked this book, because it was romantic and it teaches the reader about how life needs to be lived to the fullest.
