Eragon is about a boy who finds a mysterious stone in the middle of mountain range called the spine. when Eragon finds out it is not a stone but a dragon egg his whole life starts to fall apart.
Now Alagaisea's most feared person, King Galbatorix, is after young Eragon to either recruit him or kill him. But Brom the old storyteller in Carvahall (Eragons home village) helps Eragon escape from the clutches of the most vile assassins the Ra'zac. Now that Eragons home has been destroyed and his uncle killed, he believes he has nothing to lose so he goes forth to seek out and destroy the Ra'zac with the aid of Brom the storyteller.
